Wind energy occupies a strategic position in a number of countries' energy supply scenarios.

DLM has developed this activity by building a new production facility dedicated to the sector. The plant has production capacity of 300 wind-energy towers a year. Set up in Tit Mellil (Greater Casablanca) and with a surface area of 100 000 m², it has been operational since April 2008.

The towers produced are between 65 and 100 meters high, weighing over 60 tonnes per section.

The plant is fitted out with state-of-the-art equipment :

• Bending with a capacity of 70 mm over a width of 3 100 mm
• Automatic welding
• Shot blasting chamber 6x6x30 m with capacity of 1000 m3/ day
• Paint booth equipped with preheating, 6x6x30 m with capacity of 1000 m3/ day
• Lifting capacity of 100 tonnes
• Storage capacity of 20 000 m3
